Individual counseling for college age adults and beyond.
people I serve
I work with adolescents 18 and older, college students, and adults of all ages. I am especially interested in working with college students adjusting to college life, neurodiverse individuals, individuals with relationship issues, adults struggling with parenting, and women struggling with pregnancy and postnatal issues. I’m a pro-choice LGBTQIA+ friendly, anti-racist, anti-diet and body neutral therapist and I work to create a space for compassion for marginalized individuals.
Choosing a therapist
Not every client and therapist are a perfect match. When it comes to choosing a therapist, finding someone that is a good match for you is crucial to your success. The best way to do this is to call several therapists and see which one is right for you after speaking with them. Please email me to set up a free consultation to discuss the reasons you want to attend counseling and learn whether I am a good psychotherapist for you. I’m a pro-choice therapist that is also LGBTQIA+ friendly and I work to create a space for compassion for marginalized individuals.
therapeutic style
My preference for therapy is to use a psychodynamic perspective as a therapist. This means I believe that exploring the past of a patient is essential to learning how people come to have current struggles. Awareness of the origins of our struggles helps discard these outdated modes of acting and choose a new path.

INSURANCE
I currently accept insurance plans for Blue Cross Blue Shield, Ambetter, and Qualchoice.
For most insurance plans you must pay a certain amount called a deductible before your insurance plan will pay part of the session cost. To best understand your session cost I recommend checking with your insurance company asking your cost for “mental health outpatient office” visits prior to your first appointment.
